Besides these environmental commitments, ITS ConGlobal has made a commitment to be a good neighbor in the communities where we operate. The following sustainability practices are in place for the following company specific exposures:

1. Pollution/Contamination
  • Our leading exposure is soil/water contamination from equipment leaking fuel, oil or hydraulic fluid. To reduce this exposure maintenance repair practices are in place to ensure equipment is not leaking and all harmful fluids are stored on secondary containment. Containment/cleanup supplies are available at all operations if needed.
2. Habitat & Wildlife Protection
  • Employees and other onsite personnel have been trained not to enter/disturb wildlife areas and avoid contact with wildlife that wonders into industrial areas. Local wildlife authorities will be notified if needed and all wildlife contact events are documented as an incident.
3. Industrial Noise
  • Our leading producer of noise is back up alarms. Operations near parks, preserves or residential building use white noise back up alarms to reduce this exposure.
4. Light Pollution
  • Every effort is made to minimize light pollution at company owned properties. Nighttime security lighting has been adjusted so it does not light nearby residential buildings or wildlife areas.
5. Waste Reduction
  • All possible byproducts of equipment repair/maintenance are recycled so they do not have to be disposed of as municipal waste. Non industrial waste such as paper, cans and bottles are also recycled where this service is available.
6. Water Use
  • Every feasible effort to reduce water usage is made. Where available water for cleaning equipment is recycled to minimize waste water.
7. Energy
  • Where available and economically feasible green renewable power will be purchased.
8. Greenhouse Gas Emissions
  • Mobile equipment is monitored to ensure unnecessary idling does not occur. Electric hostlers are being purchased in 2018 to test the reliability of this new technology.
9. Resilience to Catastrophic Events
  • Our leading Catastrophic Exposure is a storm. Storm Preparation and Recovery Plans are in place for all operations. The leading system wide business interruption is a Pandemic. ITS ConGlobal has a written plan to continue operations if such an event takes place.
10. Resilience to Climate Change
  • Our leading risk to climate change is flooding at equipment depots. All depots have a plan in place to reduce business interruption from a flood event.
